Hameldon Building Opening:

Earlier this year, Ivan Lewis MP Parliamentary Under Secretary of state for young people and learning, officially opened the £5.5 m Hameldon Building at Accrington & Rossendale College.

The tutors at Accrington & Rossendale College are most enthusiastic about the new machines, which Carl O'Meara has supplied.

The new, purpose-designed building houses the construction department, which is the first such department in the UK to be recognize as a CoVE (Centre of Vocational Excellence).
Accrington & Rossendale College governors and managers see the vocational curriculum as central to the development of the college and its mission to meet the needs of the local community.

We wanted solidly built machines, of proven excellence and reliability, which were equipped with the latest technology and which were relatively simple to operate.
We feel the woodworking machines supplied my J & C O'Meara LTD, not only satisfy the above criteria, but also fall into line with our policy of providing our students with a learning environment that accommodates first class industry standard resources and equipment.

As part of Carl O'meara's after sales commitment, he has taken college staff over to Germany to visit both the Altendorf plant in Minden and the Hofmann factory in Bad Windsheim.
